About this item
Ultimate Tensile Strength 530-620 N/mm²
Elongation (GL=5d) 38-46
Ferrite No 3-7
Description
A low carbon 18/13 Mo stabilized stainless-steel rutile type, electrode with controlled ferrite content of 4 to 8% for Maximum resistance to cracking, corrosion and high temperature up to 850°C. Molybdenum prevents harmful carbide precipitation. The weld metal has excellent creep strength and is of radiographic quality. The electrode has excellent arc stability and low spatter loss. All sizes strike and restrike easily. The slag is easily controlled and does not interfere with the arc. Weld beads are smooth, uniform and of excellent appearance. The electrode can be manipulated easily in all welding positions The 18/13 Mo deposit has increased resistance to sulphuric sulphureous, hydrochloric, acetic, phosphoric, citric, tartaric acids etc. and can efficiently handle sulphatic pulp liquor in paper and pulp mill equipment, bleaching solutions and coal or oil smoke. Dairy equipment pharma plants. Typical Applications: 18/13 Mo steels such as AISI 316 and 317 types, tanks, coils and vats used in the pulp, paper and textile industries, chemical mixers, paints and dye industries.
