BharatSeal is built on public government data. We collect as little personal information as possible and never sell your data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What data we collect

  • ●Account information: email address, name, and organisation when you register.
  • ●Search queries you run on BharatSeal — used only to improve search quality and detect abuse.
  • ●Company data displayed on BharatSeal is sourced entirely from public government registries (MCA21, GSTIN, UDYAM). We do not scrape private or personal websites.
  • ●Usage analytics (page views, feature usage) via privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics.

How we use your data

  • ●To operate your account and deliver the features you pay for.
  • ●To send transactional emails (invoices, password reset, API key delivery). We do not send marketing emails without explicit opt-in.
  • ●To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and scraping of our platform.
  • ●We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Company data on BharatSeal

  • ●All business information (company name, CIN, GSTIN, director names, registered address) is sourced from public government databases and is considered public record under Indian law.
  • ●If you believe information about your company is incorrect, you can claim your profile and submit a correction request.
  • ●Directors listed in MCA records can request removal of their personal contact details from enriched profiles by emailing privacy@bharatseal.io with proof of identity.

Cookies

  • ●BharatSeal uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions only.
  • ●We do not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising cookies, or behavioural profiling.
  • ●You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will log you out of your account.

Data storage and security

  • ●Your data is stored in India on Supabase (ap-south-1 region).
  • ●All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
  • ●Access to production data is restricted to two engineers and requires multi-factor authentication.
  • ●We undergo a security review before each major release.

Your rights

  • ●Access: you can export all your account data from your dashboard at any time.
  • ●Deletion: email privacy@bharatseal.io to request account deletion. We will process within 7 business days.
  • ●Correction: update your profile information directly from your account settings.
  • ●For Indian residents, these rights are consistent with the IT Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
