Through our products business, we aim to establish a strong presence by manufacturing premium personal electronic devices that are sold in India and the global market. By strategically acquiring Wistron’s India operations in Narasapura, Karnataka, we have founded Tata Electronics Systems Solutions (TESS), our fully owned subsidiary. In addition to setting up a greenfield FATP facility near Hosur, Tamil Nadu, we have acquired a majority stake in Pegatron Technology India Private Limited based in Chennai. This positions Tata Electronics as the first Indian manufacturer of high-end, premium smartphones, with an intent to expand to other product categories. We are rapidly scaling up our operations to achieve high-volume manufacturing. Our facility at Narasapura is ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified.
