Description
Thermo Mechanically Treated steel is the new generation steel that has high strengths not obtained in any other process of steel making. Hot rolled steel bars are subjected to PLC-controlled online thermo-mechanical treatment over three successive stages namely quenching, tempering and atmospheric cooling . This treatment converts the outer layer of the bar to hard martensite structure and inner core to fine ductile ferrite-pearlite structure.
