The Sharda Way
When Art & Conscience Meet Commerce
Creativity
An ethos of creativity, innovation, and refined design is deeply embedded in the culture at Sharda. A prolific studio that draws on customer inputs, global trends, material, and construction improvisations to create hundreds of designs each season. This is reflected in the numerous awards and accolades we have received internationally and the continued patronage of our customers.
Reliability
Intuitive understanding of customer and market needs, a proactive partnership-driven approach, and craft studio-like attention to detail at an industrial scale give Sharda a definitive edge in delivering handmade goodness in mass volumes. The decades-long partnership with prolific home decor stores worldwide bears the testimonial for our unique capability that combines creativity with on-time performance and consistent quality.
Responsibility
Continuous dedication to improving people skills, manufacturing processes, and infrastructure helps us produce better quality, improved delivery, and robust compliance with the requirements of a global customer base. With utmost priority accorded to equal opportunity and the environment, we at Sharda continue to dedicate ourselves to bringing about positive change in all the areas we touch.
Eco Friendly & Ethical Practices
We are also conscious of our value chain’s ethical and environmental responsibility. We endeavor to work with best practices at every point of operations, whether being GOTS certified or adhering to GRS norms. We ensure our vertical strictly complies with these standards so our customers can be assured that their product is free of unethical or environmentally detrimental components. We have been pioneers in eco-friendly practices, be it operations centered – like biomass generation for electricity & solar energy, or in production processes where we control water usage by recycling water and sourcing from rainwater storage tanks. We were one of the first in the Industry to be ISO certified along with AVE Social standard certification from DNV-A for total commitment to Quality Environment and Social responsibility. We are also certified as one of the ‘Great Places to Work®’, which speaks volumes about our commitment to a growth-oriented work culture.
Infrastructure, Processes and Practices
Vertically integrated infrastructure spread over 2 million square feet – from raw ingredients to container stuffing. A plethora of looms and tufting stations, along with an in-house laboratory fully equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment. ERP enabled manufacturing processes that bring technology to hand-made manufacturing practices. Proprietary production planning and control software interlinked through robust networks. Individually bar-coded rugs through all stages of production to stay in control of the entire production process.
