Surge can appear anytime in any AC mains. Problem with surge is that nobody can predict at what time will it appear, for how much millisecond will it be there and what will be the intensity of the surge. There are many reasons for the surge. Thunderstorm, Single phasing, loss of load on any phase, short circuit of two phases etc. It means Surges are out of our control. In light of these reasons in a way it is impossible for anyone to design the first stage of any Electronic Product that will not have any effect of surge. We have designed and developed the Surge Suppressor based on latest technology. That is Spark Gap technology. By using our Micro Power brand Surge suppressor one can ensure that they can reduce the probability of getting their Instrument/Product/SMPS/ Battery Charger damaged. However periodic cleaning of Spark Gap will be required.
