Customized Surgical Devices

Additive manufacturing (AM) technologies may be used nowadays as tools to directly produce customized surgical devices (customized implants/customized scaffolds/CSOG) in different suitable materials. These customized surgical devices may be designed according to the preoperative virtual surgical planning (VSP) of the surgical intervention to assure the correct transfer in the operating theatre when the surgery is carried out and therefore satisfy the functional and aesthetic requirements.
